Jason Foster, President
​
Jason and his wife, Alexis, moved to Canyon Oaks in Spring of 2022. They have two children, Kathryn who was born in August of 2022 and Madilyn in January of 2024. Jason has a Business Management and Economics degree from University of Puget Sound. Jason has been working for Boston Scientific for over 10 years and is currently a Corporate Accounts Executive. Alexis is a practicing CRNA for US Anesthesia Partners. Jason enjoys spending time with his family, reading, golfing, and working out.
Jason Johnson, First Vice President

Jason and his wife, Maura, moved to Canyon Oaks in January 2016. They have three children: Caleb a graduate from Oklahoma University in Nursing and currently in the Navy, Colin a Texas ATM graduate who majored in Biomedical Science, and McKena, who is at Texas ATM majoring in Kinesiology. Jason has a Finance and Real Estate Degree from Baylor University and recently completed a Masters in Biblical and Theological Studies at Dallas Theological Seminary. In 1996, Jason joined Adams Exterminating Company with offices in Denton and Lewisville, a company which provides Professional Pest, Termite and Mosquito services to the North Texas communities. He has served as a part owner/ operator at Adams Exterminating for over 25 years and is a Board-Certified Entomologist. Jason enjoys reading and spending time outdoors hiking, fishing, and hunting.
Bill Long, Second Vice President

Bill and his husband, Diego, moved into 220 Fawn Hollow in January of 2017. Bill was born and raised in DFW, where he has worked for Microsoft for over 25 years and is currently a Senior Escalation Engineer. Bill and Diego have two adult daughters and three large dogs. When Bill isn't tinkering with software for work, he often likes to do the same for fun. He also enjoys hiking and snorkeling, preferably in Hawaii or somewhere in the Caribbean.
Norma Ramon, Secretary
​
Norma her Husband, Rio, moved to 170 Canyon Oaks in November 2017. They have one daughter in middle school. Norma graduated from a Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Arts in English. She taught high school English for 10 years and then ventured into marketing and sales. She has currently gone back to teaching.
Dorothy Woods, Treasurer

Dorothy and her husband, Mike, moved into 100 Hunters Hill Circle in June 2014. They have two daughters, Megan, who graduated from Texas Tech and Rachel, who is in college at Texas Tech since the fall of 2022. Dorothy is a member of the COHAD Sunshine Committee. She came home from teaching a couple years ago and is the COO of the Woods family. Dorothy also stays busy with involvement in a weekly women’s bible study that meets in our neighborhood, serves with the Denton Public School Foundation and on the Denton Benefit League.

The Welcome Committee provides new residents with the latest Directory, a copy of the Covenants, and other helpful information. When you spot a new neighbor, please welcome them! Then, contact one of the following people.
Judy Johannesen, Chair

Judy and her husband, Bob, have lived in Canyon Oaks since 1990. Judy has served as Secretary and President of COHAD. A former elementary school teacher, Judy retired in 2010 from FEMA as a trainer/facilitator and is currently a calligrapher.
Jean Campbell
​
Jean and Leon Campbell moved to Canyon Oaks in 2006. Jean has served as COHAD President and is still active working with the Directory committee.
Sunshine Committee
The Sunshine Committee provides support for neighbors dealing with an illness, hospitalization, pending surgery or other treatments, a death in the family, or happy occasions such as a marriage or birth of a child. The Committee has babysitters, pet sitters, and tutors on the list for parents who need one, and the Committee includes over 50 neighbors who can send a card, help arrange for meals, house-sitting, yard or other housework, errands, transportation, etc.

Roann Mefford
​
Roann grew up in Lewisville. She and husband, Chuck, moved to Canyon Oaks in 2003. They have four boys: Matt, Jon, Luke and Levi but are now empty nesters. Chuck is a marketing guy. Roann helps when forced!
Martha Gooding
​
Martha and Richard Gooding moved to Canyon Oaks in 2014. Shortly after that, she retired as an elementary school principal, after 32 years in education. They have four children, and nine grandchildren.
Architectural Committee
The Architectural Committee assists homeowners who are considering a new construction project, addition, or other exterior modifications. They welcome questions and draw upon their many years of construction experience, working with homeowners to ensure they have exactly what they dreamed of while staying within the minimal Covenants. Plans should be submitted in writing before work commences.
Bob Johannesen

Bob and Judy Johannesen moved to Canyon Oaks in 1990. Bob is a retired DEA Agent/Supervisor. They have two grown children and eight grandchildren.
Don Stough
​
Don and Georgia Stough followed GTE (now Verizon) here from California in 1990. He has since retired. They have four children and six grandchildren.
Leon Campbell
​
Leon and Jean Campbell moved to Canyon Oaks in 2005. Leon is a graduate of NR Crozier Tech, Dallas. He started a precision grinding and machining company in 1982, and retired in 2000.
Bob Hicks​
Bob Hicks moved to Canyon Oaks in 2002. He graduated from the University of Tulsa with a degree in Marketing Management, and in 2015 he retired from Phillips Health Care after 27 years as Senior Manager, Enterprise Solutions and Corporate Accounts. He has been married to his lovely wife, Diane, for over 5 years. They enjoy travel, food, wine, hiking, riding their motorcycles, and their family and friends. Together they have four children and five grandchildren.
Jim Peacock

Jim Peacock and his wife, Lynn, moved to CO in 2014. He is most recently an in-house attorney (VP, Deputy General Counsel, Secretary) with Celanese Corporation, a global technology and specialty materials company, and has been active in bar matters and attorney education. His degrees are in Economics from College of the Holy Cross and from Duke University School of Law. They love to travel, have three grown children, and three grandchildren.
